Weekend of Lotto Luck Concludes Winning Week for UK and Irish Players

Last Updated: Thursday 5th December 2013, 13:19

There was a ‘lotto luck’ for players across the UK and Ireland this weekend as both the Irish Lottery and UK Lotto jackpots were won on Saturday night, rounding up a winning week for both lotteries.

Saturday’s Irish Lottery jackpot worth €2 million was won by a single winning ticket purchased in the North East. This is the second time in a row that the top prize has been won, after the five times rollover jackpot was won on Wednesday by a player from Dublin. Both prizes have yet to be claimed and the full results are available on the Irish Lottery Results page.

There was also one lucky ticket holder from the UK who was the winner of the £5.2 million UK Lotto jackpot on Saturday night. This is the third draw in a row to see top prize winners in the new look Lotto, after three ticket holders shared the £4.8 million jackpot on Saturday 19th October and one single ticket holder netted £2.6 million last Wednesday. The full results for each draw, complete with prize breakdowns, can be seen by visiting the UK Lotto Results page.

In related news, the second of the three winning ticket holders from the UK Lotto on Saturday 19th October came forward last Friday to claim their share of the £4.8 million jackpot. The winning ticket belonged to a work syndicate of twelve from Biggleswade in Bedfordshire, headed up by Gina Nolan, 53. Eleven of the syndicate members will each receive £124,621 with the twelfth, who paid for a double entry, receiving £249,242.

Congratulations to all who won a lottery prize last week – we at National-Lottery.com hope this week proves just as lucky!
