Last Updated: Wednesday 23rd June 2010, 09:22

Gary Davies, a factory worker from South Wales, must be kicking himself now as the only member of a workforce not to be part of the lottery syndicate. The eleven strong lottery syndicate from Swansea has just matched five balls and the bonus ball on the UK Lotto draw and Mr Davies is the only one not in for a share.

There are twelve workers making Jaguar engines at the Ford plant in Bridgend, South Wales and of those twelve, Gary Davies opted out of a suggested lottery syndicate with the other workers. The remaining eleven went ahead without him and are now £114,000 richer after matching five main balls and the bonus in the 17th April UK Lotto draw.

Steve Hopkins, the head of the lottery syndicate explained how they were all gutted for Mr Davies and vowed not to leave him out of any celebration or party they are organising to celebrate the Lotto win.

One of the syndicate members is quoted as saying how pleased he was about the win. He could hardly believe it when the numbers came up and is now planning a new kitchen and a dream holiday to Egypt.
