£2 Million in Lotto Prize Money Set to Expire

Last Updated: Tuesday 3rd July 2018, 11:26

National Lottery officials are urging players to carefully check their tickets or risk missing out on one of two £1 million prizes. The winning Lotto entries were purchased in Southwark and North Lanarkshire in November last year and are set to expire in less than two weeks.

The first seven-figure sum set to expire is the Millionaire Raffle prize won in Southwark. The lucky player, whose good fortune could be about to run out, purchased their entry in the London borough ahead of the draw on Wednesday 16th November 2016 and successfully matched the winning code PINK 7016 6708. Any players wishing to make a valid claim for this reward must contact National Lottery officials before close of play on Monday 15th May.

The ticket for the second unclaimed prize set to expire this month was purchased in North Lanarkshire ahead of the Lotto Millionaire Raffle draw on Wednesday 23rd November last year. The winning player correctly matched the code AQUA 4641 7399 and has until Monday 22nd May to make contact with lottery officials.

As always, the National Lottery’s Senior Winners’ Advisor, Andy Carter, was on hand with a few helpful suggestions for players who may have misplaced their playslips: “Try checking in the pockets of clothing, in wallets, bags and down the back of the sofa – someone out there could literally be sitting on a fortune! He said. “We have the champagne on ice and our fingers crossed that the lucky winner comes forward to claim their win.”

These aren’t the only prizes searching for a home with their rightful owners. In addition to the two Lotto Millionaire Raffle rewards, more than £10 million worth of Lotto and EuroMillions prize money is currently sitting in vaults at National Lottery headquarters just waiting to be claimed. If you think you could be one of the mystery missing winners, head to the Unclaimed Prizes page for more details.

If you haven’t won a huge Lotto prize yet, don’t fret, as you will have another opportunity to win big this Saturday when the jackpot will be worth an estimated £18.7 million. You can play online or pick up a ticket from any authorised retailer throughout the country. Best of luck!
