Date Set For First EuroMillions Superdraw of 2026

Last Updated: Monday 19th January 2026, 11:48

The first EuroMillions Superdraw of the year has been lined up, with the jackpot set to be lifted to €130 million (approximately £110 million). Find out everything you need to know about the special draw.

When is the Superdraw?

The Superdraw will be held on Friday 20th February. It will be the first one to take place since 5th December 2025. However, if the jackpot is already higher than the advertised €130 million - as a result of rollovers - the Superdraw will not go ahead on the scheduled date. The higher jackpot would be allowed to run and another Superdraw would be arranged shortly afterwards.

What’s special about a Superdraw?

Superdraws are guaranteed to have huge jackpots. It doesn’t matter if someone wins the top prize on the Tuesday before a Superdraw - it will still be bumped up to €130 million (around £110 million). You don’t have to keep track of how the jackpot is progressing or wait for a run of rollovers. Instead, mark the date of the Superdraw on your calendar and get ready to play!

Where does the money come from?

The money for Superdraws comes from a Reserve Fund, rather than ticket sales. The Reserve Fund receives a small portion of the prize fund in every draw, which builds up over time. These funds are primarily used to ensure that the minimum jackpot can always be offered, but they also pay for special promotions such as Superdraws or European Millionaire Maker draws.

Can the jackpot still roll over?

The jackpot works the same way in a Superdraw as it does in a regular draw, so it rolls over if there are no tickets that match all the numbers. It can then keep growing until someone wins, or until it reaches its jackpot cap of €250 million (approximately £216 million).

The Superdraw could therefore create the biggest win in UK National Lottery history if it continues to roll for a couple of weeks. An anonymous player claimed £195.7 million in July 2022, surpassing the £184.2 million won by Joe and Jess Thwaite from Gloucester a couple of months earlier.

What are the odds of winning?

The odds of winning the EuroMillions jackpot, whether it’s a Superdraw or not, are 1 in 139,838,160. That’s how many combinations there are of five main numbers from 1 to 50, plus two Lucky Stars between 1 and 12!

There are also 12 other prize categories, so your overall chances of winning a payout are 1 in 13. The only way to improve your odds is to buy more tickets, but it does only take one entry to win.

You can buy tickets from authorised retailers, or choose your numbers online, then check your tickets for any draw from the last 180 days.
