Lotto Superdraw Makes Four Millionaires

Last Updated: Monday 23rd November 2015, 16:54

Saturday night saw the first Lotto Superdraw since 23rd September 2006 take place but the 5th November Lotto Superdraw doubled the number of winners in comparison with the last draw! On Saturday night the Lotto Superdraw made four millionaires, each player taking home £2.5 million each whilst the September 2006 draw found just two winning tickets but the prize money per ticket was quite a bit better at £7.5 million!

The winning numbers for Saturday night’s Lotto Superdraw were 14, 16, 23, 24, 27 and 39 with the bonus ball 43. The number 43 appeared in the last Lotto Superdraw results but not as the bonus, it was one of the six main balls previously.

As well as four multi-millionaires the lottery results for the Superdraw revealed 16 players who matched five main balls and the bonus to take home £88,742, a further 513 who matched five main balls and netted £1,729, over 30,000 who matched four main balls for a £64 cash prize. The £10 prize tier for match three main balls was won by over 573,000 players.

The results were drawn quite a bit later than usual on Saturday night because of the National Lottery Awards programme and whilst the Lotto game was drawn live, the Thunderball results were not. The Thunderball numbers were 12, 23, 24, 33, 39 and 13 – notice how three of the balls are the same as those drawn for the Lotto? 23, 24 and 39 also appeared as main numbers in the Lotto draw!
