UK Lotto rolls to 11 million

Last Updated: Wednesday 5th January 2011, 11:09

It’s been such an exciting weekend for UK Lottery players with two rollover draws happening on two consecutive nights. On Friday evening, players were keen to get their hands on the staggering £38 million Euromillions double rollover jackpot, but that jackpot went to a single lottery player in Portugal. Then last night there was the UK Lotto rollover to look forward to. This jackpot couldn’t end up in Portugal but it still wasn’t lucky for UK lottery players as it rolled again, making an estimated £11 million jackpot for Wednesday night’s draw.

Last night’s rollover jackpot climbed to an unexpected £7.8 million, almost one million over estimated as ticket sales for the draw were high. Lottery machine Lancelot was chosen for the draw, used in 7 of the 8 lottery draws and set of balls number 8 was used, not seen since 10th November.

Despite the lucky lottery machine being used, no one matched all six winning numbers to scoop the National Lottery jackpot and so Wednesday’s jackpot is now up to an estimated £11 million.

You can check the full results from last night’s draw on our lottery results page and see if you were one of the lucky lower tier winners. Ten players matched five and the bonus to win the second tier prize and each collects £152,720. In total, over £10 million was paid out in prizes, despite the jackpot rolling over.

If you want the chance to score in this £11 million double rollover from the National Lottery then buy lottery tickets now and tune in on Wednesday night for the draw!
