EuroMillions Jackpot Rolls to Friday
Last Updated: Wednesday 14th May 2014, 13:27
The EuroMillions draw on Tuesday 11 February produced the main numbers 08, 17, 25, 41 and 47 as well as the Lucky Star numbers 01 and 02. UK players were keen to get themselves on the map of jackpot-winners for 2014, but the bad news is that no tickets purchased in any country was able to match all of the numbers drawn. The good news is that more than 1.5 million consolation prizes were won, UK players collectively landed more than £1.56 million and the next EuroMillions game this Friday will offer a jackpot that is expected to be worth around £20 million.
There were no UK winners at the second or third tier prize levels, so those prizes can only be quoted in euros. Two tickets matched all five main numbers and one of the Lucky Stars to win €493,913 each, and eight tickets matched the five main numbers without either Lucky Star to secure a third tier prize worth €41,159.
The fourth tier prize level saw 22 tickets win £5,086 each by matching four main numbers and both Lucky Stars, whilst 646 tickets matched four main numbers and one Lucky Star to win their owners £151 each. All other winning tickets won smaller prizes, with the smallest prize of £2.90 going to each of 867,503 tickets that matched two main numbers.
The biggest winner in the UK was created by the Millionaire Raffle game, which delivered a prize of £1,000,000 to the player with the ticket bearing the number VWJ984444. It can be easy to take the Millionaire Raffle game for granted when a much bigger prize is landed in the main game, but it always takes centre stage when there is a EuroMillions jackpot rollover, as was the case last night.
We would like to congratulate everyone who won a lottery prize of any size last night, and there are a couple of great opportunities coming right up for those who have hopes of winning more. The midweek Lotto game this evening will offer a jackpot of around £2.2 million, and then we have the aforementioned EuroMillions rollover jackpot of around £20 million to tackle this Friday.
