EuroMillions Lottery Jackpot Soars

The EuroMillions lottery jackpot has been climbing steadily for several weeks, and we can report that a tenth consecutive rollover on Friday means that the next game this Tuesday 7 January will offer a jackpot worth around £105 million. It isn’t often that lottery fans in the UK get a shot at winning a nine-figure fortune, so excitement levels look set to soar as high as the EuroMillions jackpot itself, and many players will choose to buy multiple entries in order to give themselves a bigger chance of winning!
Whilst the EuroMillions jackpot eluded players last Friday 3 January, more than 3.77 million tickets won consolation prizes. The biggest prizes were landed at the second tier, where seven tickets matched all five main numbers (03, 27, 31, 38 and 44) and one of the Lucky Star numbers (03 or 08) to win £226,781 each. In addition to all of the consolation prizes won in the main game, the Millionaire Raffle draw also made someone’s night by awarding a prize of £1 million to the UK player who matched the number GRM543141.
Lotto players on Saturday 4 January were hoping to win a spectacular quadruple rollover jackpot worth an estimated £13.7 million. The Lotto game doesn’t allow more than four rollovers in a row, so the jackpot was going to be delivered even if no player matched all six of the main numbers drawn. Those numbers were 04, 11, 18, 28, 41 and 44, and the Bonus Ball number was 08.
As things turned out, the Lotto jackpot wasn’t landed outright, so the jackpot prize pool rolled down to give 23 second tier winners a prize of £585,956 each. A total of 444,097 tickets won smaller consolation prizes, and another 250 players won £20,000 each in the hugely popular Lotto Raffle game.
The next Lotto game this Wednesday will offer a brand new jackpot of around £2.2 million, and the Lotto Raffle game will award a £20,000 prize to each of 50 winners. That’s certainly exciting stuff, but the Tuesday EuroMillions game obviously comes first, so visit the Lottery Tickets page to enter the game online and you just might win yourself £105 million!
