Four Tickets Win Australian Oz Lotto Jackpot

One of the National Lotteries in Australia is the Oz Lotto and this popular lottery has been rolling over for a while. Last night’s draw had an impressive jackpot that came out at A$111,972,151.04 so many ticket holders were crossing their fingers and hoping to win this huge jackpot. This was the case because after rolling over ten times last night four ticket holders matched the seven numbers drawn to win the Australian Oz Lotto jackpot and scoop the largest jackpot ever in this lottery.
The winning Oz Lotto numbers from last night’s draw were 2, 7, 8, 13, 15, 29, 43 and the supplementaries were 20 and 21. As four ticket holders won the jackpot last night it means that these winners, who came from two tickets purchased in Victoria, one in ACT and the other in Queensland, each took home A$27,993,037.76.
One of the winning tickets from Victoria came from a mother from Meadow Heights who couldn’t believe she had won when lottery officials called her up and said although she doesn’t drink a bottle of champagne was definitely in order. The other ticket from Victoria belongs to a syndicate of 80 people meaning that each won A$349,913.
The ticket holder from ACT thought it was a joke at first however when lottery officials confirmed his win he said he was going to pay off his mortgage and celebrate with a beer. However, lottery officials haven’t been able to call the Queensland winner as of yet.
This is now the largest Oz Lotto jackpot ever in this lottery as previous to this it was a jackpot that was worth A$106.5 million which was won on the 30th June 2009 by two winning tickets. Well done to these four ticket holders last night for matching the Oz Lotto results – they have won the biggest jackpot in this lottery to date!
