When it comes to winning the National Lottery, be it the UK Lotto or Euromillions, surely you would be keen to claim your money as soon as possible. However there are still quite a few large unclaimed National Lottery prizes that remain sitting in the bank of Camelot until their owners come forward. Whilst the majority of the unclaimed winnings are under £100,000 there is one millionaire claimant still to step forward!
Interestingly enough, there are two winning tickets on 7th November draw that have still to claim their £137,591. One ticket was bought in the Crewe and Nantwich area, whilst the other in the Borough of Erewash, some 60 odd miles away from each other. Ten other players have already deposited their winnings from matching 5 and the bonus ball on the UK Lotto into their bank accounts.
The same has happened for the draw that took place on 3rd October, two winning tickets that matched 5 and the bonus ball have still to claim their £149,559 jackpot prizes. The other 8 players who matched the same have already claimed their cash.
The largest of the unclaimed National Lottery prizes is for £3,681,197 for the UK Lotto draw that took place on 23rd September. The lucky winner may not even be aware that they are a millionaire yet!
There are usually many reasons why someone hasn’t claimed their National Lottery winning; some might be letting the win sink in, especially a multi-million pound win, others may be on holiday but the worst case scenario has to be a lost ticket! For this reason we suggest that you buy lotto tickets online, the risk of losing your ticket is nil when you buy them online!
