Lottery Winners son on drugs charge

It’s not really the start to the festive season one lotto winning family would have hoped for as the son of a £14 million National Lottery winner has been charged with drug dealing after large amounts of cannabis were found at his home. Christopher Graham should have been set for life after being giving £1 million of his fathers fortune but now he is facing jail.
Police raided the large detached home he bought after his windfall in 2003 and found large amounts of cannabis. Mr Graham has now been charged with possession with intent to supply and faces jail in the New Year.
Rather than bring happiness it seems that this windfall has brought nothing but misery for this family. Bob Graham must have thought his children would be set for life after giving them £1 million each but she had already confessed to blowing her fortune on a year long party. She then split from her boyfriend and was unbelievably left in over £15,000 worth of debt.
It just goes to show that you never know the affect that a lottery win may have on your life. So next time you buy lotto tickets do remember that while a windfall might be good, money doesn’t buy happiness and for this family at least it only seems to have brought a great deal of sadness and misery.
Happy Christmas from the National Lottery and here’s hoping if you get a lotto luck this weekend you spend your money more carefully than the Graham’s did.
