Lotto Rolls Over to £8.2 Million

Last Updated: Monday 8th September 2014, 10:59 am

The UK Lotto jackpot has risen to £8.2 million after no ticket holder was able to scoop the top prize in Saturday night’s draw. However, over 230,000 players took home some tidy sums of cash when they matched some of the winning numbers, which were 11, 29, 32, 37, 40 and 48 with Bonus Ball 14.

There were five Lotto players who each woke up £82,919 richer on Sunday morning after they matched five main numbers plus the Bonus Ball while 169 participants snapped up £2,082 each for matching five main numbers. An additional 11,300 players won £164 each for matching four main numbers and a massive 222,214 players bagged the £25 fixed prize for matching three main numbers.

In addition to the lucky UK Lotto winners, there were 100 players who won a payday of £20,000 each when the code on their ticket matched one of the winning Lotto Raffle codes. Visit the Lotto Raffle Results page for a full list of all the winning codes.

Wednesday’s draw will feature more than just a great top prize as 150 players will win £20,000 in the Lotto Raffle thanks to the double rollover jackpot. Every time a Lotto draw passes by without a top tier winner, the number of Lotto Raffle prizes available increases by 50 up to a maximum of 250. If the jackpot is not won after five consecutive draws, then the top prize funds are rolled down to the next winning prize tier and the Lotto Raffle resets to the minimum of 50 winners for the next draw.

While £8.2 million would certainly brighten up someone’s day, we’re sure that anyone who ends up with a winning Raffle code will be celebrating their victory come Thursday morning! A prize of £20,000 would certainly cover a last-minute holiday, a shopping spree or perhaps making this Christmas the best one ever!

Do you think that you could be the first Lotto jackpot winner of September? If so, make sure that you buy your tickets for Wednesday’s draw before sales close at 7:30 PM. You can buy Lotto tickets online by clicking on the Lottery Tickets tab or by visiting an authorised retailer. Good luck!
