A recent study has shown that the UK Lotto, run by Camelot is the most efficiently run in the whole of Europe and that Camelot are deeply committed to maximises returns to the good causes fund. Anyone who takes an interest in where National Lottery money goes is probably not surprised by this as over £23 billion has been given to the fund since the launch of the lotto in 1994.
The study was done in conjunction with the celebration of 15 years since the launch of the National Lottery and was declared by a National Lottery Awards supporter. She says that the UK Lotto raises £25 million for good causes every single week and that has made a huge difference to the lives of people throughout the UK.
The contribution of lottery funds is also enabling a high contribution to the 1400+ athletes who are preparing for the 2012 Olympics and that doesn’t even take into consideration the amount the lottery is pledging to the Olympic fund with specially designed lottery games and scratchcards.
It’s fantastic news and a relief to know that money from when you buy lottery tickets is efficiently managed and is going back into local communities, charities and projects improving the lives and surroundings of so many people throughout the UK.
It’s also a great way to say Happy Birthday to the UK Lotto and hope for the sake of good causes that the next fifteen years is run so efficiently and offers even more money to needy causes.
