Powerball is a multi-state American lottery game which offers a minimum jackpot of US$40 million. Unlike some other lotteries, Powerball has no maximum jackpot value and will continue to roll over until all of the numbers drawn on a night are matched by a ticket holder. There are a total of 47 participating states and jurisdictions and draws take place every Wednesday and Saturday.
