Barnet Lotto Winner Claims Prize After Five Months

Last Updated: Thursday 22nd November 2018, 12:49

The Lotto player who won £1.8 million with a ticket bought in Barnet has finally come forward to collect their prize nearly five months after the draw. There had not been a jackpot winner in the quadruple rollover draw on 28th January, so there was an extra large prize fund of £14.4 million to be shared between the eight participants who matched five main numbers plus the Bonus Ball.

The deadline for the money to be claimed was midnight on 27th July and there were worries that the mystery owner of the ticket purchased in Barnet would miss out. The National Lottery contacted Barnet FC to help them track down the winner and the lucky player has now come forward, although they wish to remain anonymous.

Lotto fans will be keeping a close eye on their tickets for Saturday’s draw, when there will be £10.5 million up for grabs for anyone who can match all six main numbers. There have been three rollovers in a row since a jackpot of £3.4 million was landed by one player on Saturday 30th May, driving the top prize up to an eight-figure amount.

There have still been some big winners over the past few draws, as three participants picked up £85,535 on Wednesday after matching five main numbers plus the Bonus Ball. To find out all a full breakdown of the prizes won in midweek, visit the Results section.

To be in with a chance of earning a huge amount of cash, make sure to enter either by playing online or going to an authorised retailer. Check back on national-lottery.com after the draw to discover if you have been successful and don’t forget to claim your prize if you have won!
