Euromillions – A Royal Rollover

Last Updated: Tuesday 31st May 2011, 15:00

Lottery PoundsAll eyes have been on the UK today, as billions around the world tuned into the wedding of Prince William and Catherine Middleton. Well, the celebrations may be over, but the fever continued with many hoping to live like a prince with the Euromillions jackpot. Well, the Euromillions results are in, and it was a Royal Rollover, no one scooped the jackpot, so no princes created this week!

In fact, no one fared particularly well in last night’s Euromillions draw, and in the UK the figures looked even lower! In the main draw, no one scooped the jackpot, while just three players matched five main balls and one lucky star (none from the UK). Again just three players matched five main balls in the Euromillions draw, and again none of those were from the UK either.

The biggest UK winners in the main Euromillions draw scooped £4,805.90 for matching four main balls and one lucky star, this means that just £2.5 million was paid out to UK lottery players, plus of course the £1 Millionaire Raffle winner.

Next weekend’s Euromillions draw will now be worth an estimated £26 million, with £13.3 million of that rolling over from last night. Next Friday’s Euromillions jackpot is the last draw before the brand new Tuesday draw too, and that kicks off with a €100 million Superdraw, so make sure you make note of that, or check back to our news pages regularly for all the lottery news, results, winners and losers!
