Euromillions winners step forward

Last Updated: Wednesday 12th September 2018, 12:02

The two lottery winners who shared the massive £91 million Euromillions jackpot on Friday evening have come forward to claim their prize. By lunchtime on Saturday one of the winners had stepped forward to claim their prize and by yesterday the other had also stepped forward. Claims now need to be verified by Camelot before either winner can claim their prize.

The winning lottery tickets will now be checked before either winner can receive their £45.5 million prize and they will then meet a private banker to handle the money transfer and discuss how to deal with their new found wealth.

Then the winners will have to decide whether to go public or not, as 75% of winners remain anonymous we may never know who won these massive Euromillions shares. If both individuals are single ticket holders however, they will be record UK Lottery winners.

That will make them the first ever lottery millionaires to be immediately launched onto the Sunday Times rich list, putting them on a par with celebrities such as Chris Evans, Jamie Oliver and Sir Michael Caine.

The jackpots exceed the previous UK lottery record of £35 million, won by Angela Kelly also on the Euromillions Lottery.

You can check the winning numbers for the draw on our lottery results page but before buying tickets for the Euromillions Lottery this week, do remember ticket prices have risen to £2 each to incorporate the brand new Millionaire Raffle, created to produce on UK Millionaire every week.
