Five Share Lotto Jackpot

Last Updated: Friday 21st March 2014, 17:00

Five Share Lotto JackpotIt might sound like the title of some hitherto unknown adventure novel by Enid Blyton, but Five Share Lotto Jackpot is actually a perfect summary of what happened in the UK Lotto game on Saturday night. The jackpot was worth £2,708,045, so each of the five winning tickets now has a value of £541,609. That isn’t sufficient to bestow millionaire status on the players concerned, but it will certainly be enough to give those players something to smile about for the rest of the year and probably for many more years to come!

The Lotto results that the winning players have to thank for their success on Saturday 18 January were 07, 12, 23, 27, 30 and 31, and the Bonus Ball was 33. There were seven tickets that matched five of the main numbers plus that Bonus Ball to win a second tier consolation prize of £30,879 each, and 556 tickets won £330 each by matching five main numbers only. Over 428,000 tickets won smaller prizes by matching four or three main numbers, and 50 players won £20,000 each in the Lotto Raffle game.

All of that excitement came just one day after the jackpot rolled over for the third time in a row in the EuroMillions game on Friday 17 January. The main numbers drawn in that game were 19, 26, 32, 33 and 42, and the Lucky Star numbers were 04 and 10.

Although the EuroMillions jackpot wasn’t won, two tickets matched the five main numbers and one Lucky Star to land a consolation prize worth £577,348 each, and another eight tickets won their owners £48,112 each after matching the five main numbers only. More than 2.4 million prizes were won at the lower consolation levels, and one UK player won £1 million in the Millionaire Raffle game by matching the number MTL833773.

Because the EuroMillions jackpot wasn’t won in the most recent game on Friday, the next draw this Tuesday 21 January will offer a triple rollover jackpot that is expected to be worth around £33 million. Demand for tickets is sure to be higher than usual, so visit the Lottery Tickets page early to secure your entries online and good luck!
