Great-Grandfather Celebrates £100,000 Cash Injection from the Health Lottery

Last Updated: Wednesday 13th August 2014, 16:11

A great-grandfather from Evesham has a skip in his step this week after receiving a £100,000 cash injection from the Health Lottery. 67-year-old Dennis Sadler, who lives in Hampton, secured the top tier prize after matching all five main numbers drawn on Saturday 14th June.

The winning numbers from the draw were 1, 11, 18, 26 and 31 with the Bonus Ball 20 and, in addition to Dennis’ top tier win, more than 13,000 tickets won consolation prizes of between £10 and £10,000. Dennis’ lucky sequence held sentimental significance and was made up of his, his wife’s and their two children’s birthdays as well as his lucky number 11. The couple, who have been married for 48 years, revealed they had already started making plans on how to spend the money.

"We will be going on holiday now," Dennis said, before adding that his two daughters were keen for new cars. Whatever Dennis decides to do with the money, it’s sure to lead to a more luxurious retirement for the ex-salesman.

Health Lottery draws take place twice a week on Wednesdays and Saturdays and tickets cost just £1. The odds of winning the £100,000 top prize are considerably more favourable than many other big lotteries which is why thousands of players choose to play the Health Lottery on a regular basis. If you’d like to participate in the next Health Lottery draw, tickets can be purchased online via the Lottery Tickets tab or in person from an authorised retailer.
