Lottery Ticket not lucky with reviewers

Last Updated: Thursday 15th January 2015, 15:52

USA ballThe movie ‘Lottery Ticket’ has just launched and after months of hype, a red carpet premier and every newspaper in the country talking about it, we couldn’t wait to hear the reviews. However, it seems that while the central character may have been lucky enough to win the lottery, the movie has not struck lucky with the reviewers with many giving it the rotten tomato award.

We’re yet to read a good review of the movie in the National Lottery office, and after months of hype it’s surprising. Many movie critics are suggesting that lottery players watch the movie so they know what NOT to do should they ever get a winning lottery ticket.

Reviewers seem to feel that The Lottery Ticket – the movie is just a badly done take off of the House Party movie of the 90’s with many of the same values promoted but it still doesn’t fare well.

Bow Wow, who plays the lead character gets a rave review for his acting from many reviewers but most are saying he was the absolute highlight of the movie.

We wouldn’t want to put people off watching Lottery Ticket – the movie but do read the reviews before you go. We thought a comedy about trying to keep a $300 million lottery ticket safe in the projects would be a hit with the general public. Most of us have probably thought about where we would keep winning lottery tickets safe and there have been many comical stories about where players have kept their lottery tickets.

However, it seems comical though those stories are, they don’t stretch for two hours of comedy!
