Lottery winner claims prize after three months

Last Updated: Monday 30th July 2018, 12:48

A lottery winner has claimed a lottery prize, three months after the draw. We’re often bringing you news of unclaimed prizes on our lottery news pages but often we don’t ever find out if they have been claimed. So it’s great to bring you the news today of this £68,000 winner from Rotherham who has stepped forward to claim their life-changing lottery prize, before it expires.

We mentioned the prize, here a few weeks ago while appealing for prize winners to step forward, but to no avail. We’re not sure what finally got the prize winner to step forward, or even if they were aware of the win, but it’s nice to know this lottery winner isn’t going to miss out.

If you do buy lottery tickets in store, then please do make sure you sign the back, this means that no one else can claim your prize. Then, make sure you check the lottery results after every draw to ensure there are no prizes to be claimed. Alternatively, buy lottery tickets online and you don’t ever have to worry about missing out on another prize.

This is just one of many unclaimed prizes from the National Lottery, including six Millionaire Raffle prizes worth £1 million each and a Lotto jackpot worth over £2 million. If unclaimed each of them will be added to the fund for good causes and be lost forever to the lottery winners, which is a shame as each is a life-changing amount of money.

Make sure you check your lottery numbers from last night’s Lotto draw or you could be added to the list of unclaimed prizes from the National Lottery
