Lotto’s jackpot will hit its highest value of the year on Wednesday when ticket holders play for a £14.4 million bounty, following a third rollover in a row on Saturday 17th October. Wednesday’s top prize will beat that on offer on Wednesday 28th January, when £14.1 million rolled down to the eight winners in the next prize tier, who each banked £1.8 million, as no one could match all six main numbers after four rollovers. The four rollover limit has now been abolished, allowing the jackpot to reach a maximum of £50 million.
Saturday’s winning numbers were 8, 30, 37, 40, 46 and 50 with Bonus Ball 36 and two players matched five main numbers and the Bonus Ball to bank £54,061. Other prizes distributed in the main game ranged from a free Lotto Lucky Dip for the 1.3 million participants who matched two main numbers, up to £2,032 for matching five main balls.
