Lotto Jackpot Increases to £5.3 Million on 20th Anniversary

Today marks 20 years since Noel Edmonds graced TV screens across the country to kick off the first-ever Lotto draw. Previously known as the National Lottery, this flagship game has been going strong for two decades and will celebrate its milestone birthday by offering up a Lotto jackpot worth £5.3 million, 100 Lotto Raffle prizes worth £20,000 each and a supplementary side game with 20 prizes of £500.
The bumper top prize comes after a rollover on Saturday night when no player could match all six main numbers drawn. For a full breakdown of the most recent Lotto draws, visit the Results page.
In addition to the prizes on offer in tonight’s Lotto draw, a special game will be held on the National Lottery’s YouTube channel. Participants can enter a prize draw in which 20 prizes of £500 will be given away in the main Lotto draw by tweeting the National Lottery from 8.30pm tonight. That’s a sight better than matching three numbers on Lotto Hotpicks!
The celebrations will continue on Saturday, when Lotto will offer 20 additional prizes of £1 million to lucky ticket holders as well as a jackpot prize and 50 Lotto Raffle prizes of £20,000. Whether you play tonight, on Saturday or go all-out and buy tickets for both draws, it’s going to be an incredible week for the National Lottery.
For your chance to win big on Lotto’s birthday, make sure that you buy your tickets before sales close at 7.30pm GMT tonight. You can purchase your entries online by visiting the Lottery Tickets tab or by visiting an authorised retailer. Good luck, and Happy Birthday to Lotto!
