One lucky Lotto player ended a run of five consecutive rollovers to land Saturday’s £14.4 million jackpot. The ticket holder, who is yet to make contact with National Lottery officials, overcame odds of 45,057,474 to one to become the game’s first top prize winner since Saturday 22nd July.
Saturday’s winning Lotto numbers were 10, 27, 49, 52, 55 and 56, with 17 appearing as the Bonus Ball. This has certainly been a bumper eight months for Lotto fans, with this latest victory signalling the eleventh time the game’s jackpot has been won since the turn of the year. The fortuitous winner now has 180 days to claim their enormous eight-figure sum.
The draw also proved profitable for three ticket holders who each won £26,670 after matching five main numbers and the Bonus Ball, while 45 players received a financial boost as they matched five main numbers to scoop £1,871. There were a further 973,969 prize winners, each of whom claimed sums ranging from a free Lucky Dip ticket for correctly predicting two main numbers to a windfall of £168 for matching four main numbers.
The good fortune continued into the night as one player matched the winning Lotto Millionaire Raffle code PLUM 8194 6458 to land a £1 million reward, while 20 participants walked away with £20,000 apiece in the same draw.
