Midweek Lotto jackpot split two ways

Last Updated: Monday 30th July 2018, 12:36

The midweek Lotto jackpot went off last night without a hitch and while the jackpot might not have been a monster, split two ways it still gave two lucky lottery players a life-changing prize. We’ve been spoiled for choice with Lotto jackpots over the last few weeks, which makes last night’s £2.6 million pale a little in significance, but let’s not beat around the bush here, would you turn down a £1.3 million share?

Last night’s draw was worth £2,686,864, not bad for a midweek jackpot and all the lottery results are available now. If you haven’t checked the winning numbers yet then it’s time to do so, before you miss out on the chance of a big win. In the event, two players matched all six winning numbers, and each will collect a little over £1.3 million. In total almost £8 million was paid out in prize money, split between winners from all five prize tiers.

In addition to the two jackpot winners, only three players matched five and the bonus, an incredibly low number which means they all collect £275,575; a massive amount of cash for a second tier prize.

The next UK Lotto draw takes place on Saturday evening and after last night’s jackpot winner, Saturday’s jackpot will be worth an estimated £4.4 million. Before then it’s the Euromillions Lottery on Friday evening, with an estimated £13 million jackpot. If you’re buying lottery tickets for the weekend draws, make sure you check back for all the lottery results!
