One Player Scoops the Midweek Lotto

Last Updated: Tuesday 6th September 2011, 13:59

National LotteryAll over the UK, players are checking the UK Lotto results this morning; the jackpot reached £2.5 million and the hopes of many lie in those six little balls. Well the results are in and checked and the news is that one player scoops the midweek Lotto, collecting £2.57 million in its entirety. Before we get ready for the weekend lottery draws, let’s take a look at these results and see who got lucky!

In last night’s Lotto draw both Guinevere and set of balls number 5 made an appearance again after the weekend and it seemed this combination proved lucky for lottery players yet again. In all, 234,169 lottery players walked away with a prize in the draw, collecting over £7 million in prizes. In addition to the single midweek Lotto jackpot winner, another five players collect £158,590 for matching the 5+1 prize. Added to the smaller winners it made for a lucky evening indeed.

Now as we look towards the weekend, Friday’s Euromillions jackpot is a rollover. That means the first offering of the weekend could be as much as £23 million on Friday evening, with the UK Lotto following on Saturday. After last night’s Lotto winner the weekend Lotto jackpot will be an estimated £4.5 million, which means very many millions indeed up for grabs to lottery players this weekend.

Both the Friday Euromillions and Saturday Lotto draw are televised but if you do miss the draw, make sure you still check your lottery results. There may be lots of big jackpots up for grabs but August’s unclaimed winners list is also a long one, don’t be the unlucky lottery winner who misses out with a lost lottery ticket!
