Today we have some news of a £100,000 scratchcard winner who claims she dreamed she would win on the game, prompting her to buy a ticket. Ann Phillips was in the store buying lottery tickets with her husband Howard in Brynmawr when she remembered that the night before, she had dreamed of winning the lottery with a purple coloured card. She purchased the ‘Big £100,000 Purple’ scratchcard and it was a £100,000 winner!
We often hear stories about players who have lottery premonitions, dreams and feelings that they are going to win. Although, this lady had not imagined she was going to hit the top prize on the scratchcard and could hardly believe her luck when she won.
Mrs Phillips has two children and five grandchildren, although the children are all grown up and left home. One of their granddaughters was out shopping with them that day, and Mrs Phillips had given the card to her to scratch off. After a moment, her granddaughter said – ‘Nan you’ve won’ – and when Mrs Phillips checked the card, she found she was a £100,000 winner.
The couple intend on spoiling their family and taking a little holiday for themselves. They aren’t in any rush to spend the cash though, and want to leave it as a nice nest egg for their upcoming retirement.
