Recession Busting Lottery Win

Last Updated: Thursday 22nd January 2015, 09:24

Lottery Syndicate Unemployment is rising and it seems you can’t turn on the news without hearing about more redundancies, especially in big factories like the Corus Steel works. But one syndicate has had a recession busting lottery win as a group of Corus Steelworkers scoop a massive  £2.2 million on the UK Lotto draw!

This news couldn’t have come at a better time for the Steelworkers, especially when you consider that it was only this week that the news was released that a massive 2,000 jobs are to be cut at the steel giants following a slum for demand in steel products across the world.

The eight strong lottery syndicate includes six staff members from the Scunthorpe plant and they will now share the £2.2 million jackpot win. It was just each member £275,000 after their numbers came up on the July 11th National Lottery draw.

The syndicate organiser who holds the lottery tickets for the syndicate has revealed that money has been so tight for the lottery syndicate that some weeks the members struggled to find the 50p needed for their lottery subs. Thankfully for the members they kept playing and won this fantastic lottery jackpot.

The syndicate didn’t play lucky dips and have kept the same numbers since the launch of the lottery, never winning more than £10 but all that has changed now as the syndicate celebrate their big lottery win!

We at National-Lottery would like to congratulate the lottery syndicate and hope they enjoy the financial security they so clearly deserve.
