Single Player Wins £208M EuroMillions Jackpot, but Not in UK

Last Updated: Wednesday 18th June 2025, 10:42

UK players missed out on the chance to become the National Lottery’s biggest winner of all time on Tuesday night, as a £213.65 million jackpot instead went to someone from Ireland.

The stage was set for a new UK record after the jackpot surged past £200 million on Tuesday 3rd
June. Another rollover – the 17th in a row – then pushed the top prize up to its €250 million cap,
where it could have stayed for a maximum of four draws if there had continued to be no winners.

While nobody won in the first three draws at the cap, strong ticket sales continued across Europe and
it emerged after Tuesday´s draw that a single ticket holder had matched the EuroMillions numbers on
13th June – 13, 22, 23, 44 and 49, plus Lucky Stars 3 and 5.

The next announcement was where the ticket had been sold – there are nine nations that participate in EuroMillions – and the glory went a single ticket holder from Ireland.

It was still a magical night for lots of players who picked up prizes below the jackpot, including the two UK participants who pocketed £6,287,001.20 after matching all five main numbers and one Lucky Star. Another ticket holder won £1 million thanks to the Millionaire Maker. Go to the EuroMillions Results page for full draw details.

With the jackpot going elsewhere, it means the biggest UK win ever is still the £195.7 million payout that went to an anonymous ticket holder in July 2022. Joe and Jess Thwaite are second in the standings with the £184 million they won a couple of months earlier in May 2022. Go to the EuroMillions Winners page to find out about all the UK’s top jackpots.

If you’ve played EuroMillions at all in the last 180 days, make sure to check your tickets carefully before you dispose of them. For example, it can be easy to focus on the winning numbers in the main draw and overlook the Millionaire Maker raffle results. Use our checker to review your numbers and raffle codes quickly.

The EuroMillions jackpot will now start again at £14 million in the next draw. It grew all the way from its base amount to its maximum limit in the space of a couple of months, so another historic win could be just around the corner. To take part in a draw, go to a local retailer or pick your numbers online.
