Three Players Share £1.9 Million Lotto Jackpot

Last Updated: Thursday 23rd March 2017, 10:18

Wednesday evening’s Lotto draw saw three players share a £1.9 million jackpot. The trio of lucky ticket holders successfully matched all six main numbers to claim a £663,276 slice of the top prize on what proved to be a fruitful night for lottery lovers.

The winning Lotto numbers were 6, 11, 12, 19, 27 and 31, with 42 appearing as the Bonus Ball. In addition to the three jackpot winners, six players correctly matched five numbers and the Bonus to win £7,573. A further 149,547 players secured cash prizes ranging from £25 for matching three numbers to £196 for matching five numbers, while 919,503 players matched two numbers to scoop a free Lucky Dip ticket.

Three jackpot winners in a single draw may seem a lot, but given that all six main numbers in the draw were under 31, it should come as little shock. This is because many lottery players rely on important dates when picking their numbers, meaning their numbers will always range from 1 to 31. To lower the chances of having to share the top prize, players should consider varying their selection by choosing Lotto numbers from the higher end of the ball pool. Alternatively, players can trust their luck by playing a Lucky Dip or taking the random Number Generator for a spin.

Due to the top prize being split three ways, the biggest prize on the night was won by the owner of Millionaire Raffle code TEAL 4995 0879, who scooped £1 million. There were also 20 prizes of £20,000 on offer, the winning codes for which can be found on the Lotto Results page.

If you fancy your chances of winning this Saturday’s jackpot, which currently stands at £3.5 million, you can play online or by visiting any authorised retailer. Good luck!
