Three Share Lotto Double Rollover

Last Updated: Thursday 22nd November 2018, 14:39

Three Share Lotto Double RolloverThree tickets shared the Lotto double rollover jackpot on Wednesday 24 August after matching all six main numbers, which were 11, 27, 46, 47, 48 and 49. Yes, you read those lottery results correctly – there were four consecutive numbers among the six selected. When you consider that the consecutive numbers were the four at the very top of the range 1 to 49 then perhaps it isn’t surprising that there were multiple winning tickets – many players like to include a handful of such numbers just in case a draw produces this kind of result.

The jackpot was worth £11,033,367 and so each one of the three winning tickets is now worth £3,677,789. It is obviously too early to know who the owners of those tickets are, and it is perfectly possible that one or more of them could be reading this news item right now, so if you haven’t yet checked your tickets this would be as good a time as any to do so.

In addition to the three double rollover jackpot winners, another trio of tickets matched five main numbers and the Bonus Ball number (which was 42) to win a second-tier prize of £323,807 each. 302 players won £2,010 each by matching five main numbers only and more than 324,000 other tickets won either £74 or £10 each by matching four or three main numbers, respectively.

We congratulate everyone who won a prize in the Lotto draw on Wednesday, and for those of you who didn’t win – or who didn’t win as much as you had hoped – there are a couple of chances to fare better over the next few days. The EuroMillions jackpot this Friday 26 August will be worth a whopping £77 million and the Lotto jackpot on Saturday has been reset and will therefore be worth around £4.2 million.
