Time for the Lotto rollover

Last Updated: Monday 30th July 2018, 12:44

It’s Wednesday and that means it’s time for the UK Lotto rollover, your last chance to buy tickets before the £7.5 million draw this evening. On Saturday evening there was no winner on the UK Lotto, and it’s that fact that sees an estimated £7.5 million jackpot. Saturday’s jackpot reached a higher than expected £4.8 million, and that has attributed to this rollover sitting slightly higher than estimate. Should tonight’s draw create high ticket sales then it’s likely to be nearer to £8 million.

Lotto rollovers have been common since the start of this year and we’ve seen several jackpots reach £7 million. However, what is also common is very high ticket sales for the rollover, and then a jackpot shared so the benefit of the rollover is lost. That does mean that if tonight’s winner is a single winner, and scoops over £7 million, they may be the biggest UK Lotto winner of 2011, with this bumper Lotto jackpot.

If you are buying lottery tickets for tonight’s rollover, you may want to take a look at the Lotto Plus 5 option, this costs just £1 extra per line of lottery numbers and gives you a chance to win up to £250,000 every day of the week there is no Lotto draw.

Whichever of the draws you opt to play, make sure you check back to our lottery results page after the draw to see if you’re a rollover millionaire or a Lotto Plus 5 winner!
