UK Lotteries Weekend Winners and Rollovers
Last Updated: Friday 30th March 2012, 15:59
Since our last news update there have been several lottery draws that have taken place over the weekend including UK Lotto, Thunderball, Lotto Plus 5 and the Irish Lottery so what did the results from the weekend have to show? It was a mixed bag with the UK lotteries producing weekend winners and rollovers but the most interesting of results came from the Irish Lottery because whilst the jackpot rolled once again the second prize tier winners each won €125,000 thanks to a Valentine’s promo for the operators.
The standard prize for matching five main numbers and the bonus ball in the Irish Lottery is €25,000 but the two winners on Saturday night’s draw will also be picking up €100,000 in diamonds. What a difference one number can make when playing any of the lotteries available in the UK and Ireland.
The UK Lotto results from Saturday proved to be lucky for one winning ticket holder who netted the whole £4.5 million jackpot whilst 12 players matched five and the bonus ball for £115,900. The Thunderball top jackpot of £500,000 remained elusive as it has done on each draw since the 3rd February 2012 whilst in the Lotto Plus 5 results the top prize of £250,000 was won by one ticket holder yesterday, exactly a week after the last top prize win.
The Health Lottery draw on Sunday produced two jackpot winners of the £100,000 top prize and over 8,500 players took either £500 for matching four main numbers or £50 for picking three of the five main numbers. The next jackpot for the Health Lottery is going to be £200,000.
What will this week bring from the UK lottery games?
