UK Lotto Jackpot estimated at £9.6 million

Last Updated: Saturday 22nd October 2011, 20:58

Saturday night's draw on the UK Lotto failed to be won so now witnesses its double rollover. The UK Lotto estimated jackpot is now £9.6 million - something to be impressed by as it stands just short of the ten million mark. Although no one successfully matched all six main numbers, the weekend draw saw over half a million players win one of the lower tier prizes, compared to that of the previous midweek draw that saw only 251,874 players win a prize.

Eleven players did strike it lucky on Saturday night as they managed to match five of the main numbers plus the Bonus Ball to walk away with the tidy sum of £129,473. Nearly four hundred players won £2,230 and the lowest prize tier available of £10.00 was won by a staggering 482,404 players.

The results from Saturdays draw were 2, 3, 6, 41, 44, 45 and the Bonus Ball was 10. These results were interesting as not only is 41 one of the least often numbers to be drawn but also 44 is one of the most common. The number 44 has appeared 224 times in the UK Lotto but the number 41 has only appeared 174 times.

If the jackpot on the UK Lotto fails to be won in the next draw on Wednesday 21st September, it will be the first time this month that the jackpot will go over the ten million mark. Last time was towards the end of August when the jackpot was £11,033,367 and won by three players.
