UK Lotto Makes Five Millionaires in One Draw

Last Updated: Wednesday 13th August 2014, 16:11

Five new millionaires have emerged from Saturday’s UK Lotto draw after they each matched all six main numbers. The winning sequence from Saturday night was 8, 12, 28, 30, 43 and 49 with the Bonus Ball 42.

Of the 51 UK Lotto draws that have taken place so far this year, just four have seen five or more winners in the top tier category. Remarkably, three of these wins have come in the past month alone with this weekend’s big winners scooping the largest prize seen in any of the four draws. Saturday’s winners shared a £5.2 million top tier prize pool and each took home a share worth £1,045,504 whereas the share of the jackpot won in other multiple winner draws never exceeded £800,000.

In addition to the five jackpot winners from Saturday, eight players won £42,670 each when they matched five main numbers plus the Bonus Ball and 276 players won £1,050 each when they matched five main numbers.

A further 304,603 tickets won either £25 for matching just three main numbers or £98 for matching four main numbers. The supplementary UK Lotto Raffle saw 100 prizes of £20,000 given out to players who matched one of the unique codes drawn. A full list of all 100 winning codes can be found on the UK Lotto Raffle Results page.

As the jackpot was won on Saturday, Wednesday’s UK Lotto draw will offer players a brand new top prize estimated at £2.1 million plus 50 raffle prizes worth a guaranteed £20,000 each. For your chance to win big, tickets for the game can be purchased online via the Lottery Tickets tab or in person from an authorised retailer.
