UK Lotto Won But Others Roll

The UK Lotto jackpot on Saturday 10 September was won by a single ticket, but the Irish Lotto and the EuroMillions jackpots both rolled over, creating even bigger jackpots for the next games this Tuesday and Wednesday. The Lotto results last Saturday were 05, 07, 09, 10, 22 and 47, and the Bonus Ball was 37. The jackpot had been estimated to have a value of around £4.1 million, but in the end it weighed in at £3,229,908, which is obviously less than predicted. The next Lotto jackpot this Wednesday 14 September will be worth around £2.2 million.
15 Lotto players matched five of the main numbers plus the Bonus Ball to land a second-tier prize of £66,254 each, and 781 players matched five main numbers only to win £795 each. Over 734,000 other tickets won either £33 or £10 each by matching four or three main numbers. All numbers were drawn using the lottery machine named Guinevere.
In the EuroMillions game on Friday 9 September the main numbers drawn were 05, 21, 28, 31 and 34, and the Lucky Stars were 01 and 02. No ticket matched all of those numbers so the jackpot rolled for the twelfth draw in a row and the next jackpot this Tuesday 13 September will be worth an estimated £138 million. The good news for one EuroMillions player in the UK is that they won £1 million last Friday with the Millionaire Raffle number TMD005666.
Five EuroMillions players matched all five main numbers and one Lucky Star to win £404,157 each, and six more matched five main numbers only to win £112,266 each. Those are hefty consolation prizes and will no doubt have sparked quite a few celebrations already. As we had expected, ticket sales for the massive EuroMillions jackpot draw were high, and so were the number of consolation prizes that were paid out - there were more than 4.92 million winning tickets in total!
The Irish Lotto results on Saturday 10 September were 01, 10, 32, 35, 39 and 45, and the Bonus Ball was 33. No ticket won the jackpot in this game either, so it has now rolled over and the jackpot in the next game this Wednesday 14 September will be worth around €8.5 million. Add that to the £2.2 million jackpot estimated in the UK Lotto game on the same day and the £138 million in the EuroMillions game on Tuesday and we think you’ll agree that there is stacks of cash up for grabs this week.
