One Winning UK Ticket Scoops EuroMillions Jackpot

Last Updated: Friday 16th January 2015, 10:09

After the success of one player from Switzerland winning the jackpot in Friday’s draw, all eyes were on last night’s EuroMillions to see if the winning streak continued. The results from yesterdays draw show that one winning UK ticket has scooped the EuroMillions jackpot, becoming the second top prize winner of November 2011 in this pan-European lottery. This now means that the jackpot for Friday is estimated again at £12/€15 million.

The EuroMillions results, in case you missed them last night, were 6, 17, 22, 45, 47 and the Lucky Stars were 3 and 11. Out of all the numbers drawn out last night the two Lucky Star numbers stick out. Number 3 particular because last night it made its 105th appearance making it one of the most common picked out numbers. In contrast to that the other Lucky Star number 11 which is actually one of the least picked out numbers appearing just 11 times since its launch on the 10th May 2011.

In addition to the jackpot winner in Tuesday’s draw there were also another 1,572,537 players that each managed to win a prize. However, there were no players at all that matched five plus one to win the second level prize in any of the participating countries. Four tickets matched five numbers to walk away with £244,474/€338,091 and another 1,414 players took home £75.60/€104.60 by correctly matching up four numbers.

Not only did the EuroMillions draw happen yesterday but also the news regarding the special Millionaires Month was released. If you haven’t heard already then the Millionaires Raffle – a game played alongside the UK EuroMillions -  is holding a series of unique draws which will start on the 25th November and will run till the 23rd December in which a total of 50 players will become millionaires!
