Last Updated: Tuesday 31st July 2018, 12:33

Friday night’s EuroMillions jackpot is worth a gigantic £94 million, after Tuesday night’s draw saw a ninth rollover in a row for the pan-European game. The last jackpot win came on Friday 29th December, when an Irish family picked up £34.5 million in the final draw of 2017. Can you join the special club reserved exclusively for the first jackpot winners of the year?

First EuroMillions Winner of 2017

The first EuroMillions winner of 2017 came in the draw on Tuesday 24th January. The lucky tickets holders were a syndicate from Ireland who scooped £76 million. The group bought their winning slip at a service station in the Dublin area and, when asked what the win meant to them, the anonymous players declared themselves “delighted” not to have to worry about mortgages and other bills ever again. They also pledged to book their summer holidays within days of the big win.

First EuroMillions Winners of 2016

The early portion of the year is clearly a golden period for Irish players, as the £100.7 million EuroMillions jackpot on Friday 29th January 2016 was shared between a French participant and another Irish lottery pool, who played their numbers in the Fairgreen Shopping Centre, Co Carlow.

First EuroMillions Winner of 2015

The jackpot for the EuroMillions draw on Friday 9th January 2015 was worth £24.7 million and was won by a player in Luxembourg. The tiny nation of just under 600,000 people is the least successful EuroMillions country, with just two top prize wins since the game launched in 2004.
