EuroMillions Jackpot Soars to £120 Million

Last Updated: Tuesday 30th May 2017, 12:02

Tonight’s EuroMillions draw could see at least one lucky ticket holder win a jackpot of £120 million. This current sum is the largest prize to have been offered by the pan-European game this year and the biggest total since a Belgian man walked away with a jackpot worth £153.3 million (€168 million) in the draw on Tuesday 11th October 2016.

The premium prize, which has been growing ever since a French family from Dijon claimed a jackpot worth £70.8 million (€83.3 million) on Tuesday 11th April, continued to rise following Friday night’s draw when the numbers 5, 7, 26, 36 and 39 appeared, alongside the Lucky Stars 2 and 10. No players were able to match all seven digits, however, there was cause for celebration for four players - two Brits, a Belgian and a French ticket holder - who were lucky enough to land a sensational £277,779 (€427,598) in the Match 5+1 prize tier.

The draw provided additional joy for nine players who were able to match five main numbers to scoop £28,754 (€44,263) apiece. It proved to be a prosperous evening for lottery lovers, as a further 3,104,145 prize winners profited from the draw, winning totals ranging from £2.70 (€4.00) for matching two numbers to £2,301 (€3,543) for correctly predicting four main numbers and both Lucky Stars. Friday night’s draw may not have produced a jackpot winner, but that didn’t stop a whole host of ticket holders from picking up lucrative supplementary prizes. Three players from the UK won £1 million and a luxury trip to Japan, courtesy of Millionaire Maker’s Mega Week draw, while a French participant pocketed €1 million in the My Million draw and ten Irish entrants secured €5,000 each after matching one of the lucky codes in the Ireland Only Raffle.

The collective attention of of EuroMillions fans in all nine participating countries will now turn to tonight’s draw with its colossal nine-figure offering. If you would like to be in with a chance of becoming the first jackpot winner of May 2017, you can pick your numbers online or play via any authorised retailer throughout the UK. Best of luck!
