EuroMillions Jackpot Surges to £155 Million
Last Updated: Wednesday 27th September 2017, 13:01
Over 2.3 million players across Europe picked up prizes in last night’s EuroMillions draw, but the jackpot rolled over and will now be worth an extraordinary £155 million on Friday. Find out about the latest results and where the top prize ranks among the biggest jackpots in history.
Tuesday Rollover
The EuroMillions numbers drawn on Tuesday were 1, 29, 40, 41 and 48, with Lucky Stars 6 and 12. Two UK players were among eight across the continent who matched five main numbers plus one Lucky Star to win £128,055 each, but nobody quite managed to land the £143.6 million jackpot.
The winning Millionaire Maker codes were THVJ 92749 and ZHVR 72885, instantly netting the players with matching tickets £1 million each. Check out the EuroMillions Results page for more information, including a full prize breakdown of the 628,535 UK winners.
Biggest Jackpots
The jackpot for Friday now stands at one of the largest amounts since EuroMillions was launched in 2004. There has not been a bigger prize up for grabs since an anonymous Portuguese participant scooped €190 million in October 2014, while Chris and Colin Weir are the only UK players to have ever banked a higher reward. The Scottish couple netted a stunning £161.6 million back in July 2011.
UK players have a fine record of pouncing on big EuroMillions jackpots, having claimed two of the biggest in history. As well as the Weirs, Adrian and Gillian Bayford won £148.6 million back in August 2012.
If you want to try and surpass the Bayfords, you can get involved in Friday night’s draw by choosing numbers online or visiting an authorised retailer in the UK. The month of September has produced more jackpot winners than any other over the last 13 years, and it could just be that you grab the next nine-figure prize. Good luck!
