A fantastic summer for EuroMillions players continued on Friday 7th July as the jackpot was won again. One week after a UK ticket holder scooped £87.5 million in the Superdraw, it was Ireland’s turn to celebrate as a single participant from the Emerald Isle landed €28.9 million (£25.6 million).
The winning numbers in the latest draw were 11, 20, 35, 37 and 45, plus Lucky Stars 3 and 6. The lucky Irish player becomes the country’s 11th EuroMillions jackpot winner, and they can now look forward to thinking about how they will use the life-changing amount of money.
The winner has yet to come forward, but ticket holders across Ireland have been urged to check their numbers. They have 90 days to get in touch with Irish National Lottery officials, which is significantly less time than the 180-day limit imposed in the UK.
Friday’s EuroMillions draw was still a huge success for the UK, which claimed more prizes, 407,245, than any of the other eight participating countries. Two UK players matched five main numbers and one Lucky Star to snag £141,002, while other prizes ranged between £3.10 for matching two main numbers and £16,420 for matching five main numbers. Check out the EuroMillions Results page for a full breakdown.
It has been a prosperous couple of months for EuroMillions players everywhere, with a Belgian winner of €153.8 million (£134.8 million) on Friday 2nd June and then the Superdraw on Friday 30th June. The UK winner of the Superdraw has already claimed their huge prize anonymously, and it will be fascinating to see whether the lucky Irish player goes public with their story or not.
The EuroMillions jackpot will now reset to £14 million (€17 million) for Tuesday night’s draw, and you can try to win by either visiting an authorised retailer or choosing your numbers online. Good luck!
