EuroMillions Jackpot Won in the UK and Belgium

Two EuroMillions ticket holders certainly had a Valentine’s Day to remember after sharing a £39.9 million (€47.1 million) jackpot. The winners, from the UK and Belgium, each matched all five main numbers and both Lucky Stars to land a £19.9 million (€23.5 million) slice of the prize and claim the first jackpot win since a Spanish player scooped €25.8 million on Tuesday 31st January.

The winning EuroMillions numbers were 2, 10, 24, 40 and 44, with 3 and 10 appearing as the Lucky Stars. In addition to the jackpot winners, the draw successfully produced more than 1.5 million winners, including a French player who netted €855,914 after matching five main numbers and one Lucky Star. This latest jackpot win is the first for the UK since a number of changes were introduced to the game in September 2016. Despite this recent drought, the game’s co-founders remain the third most successful nation in EuroMillions history, winning a total of 64 top prizes. Belgian players, however, have thrived of late in a run that has seen ticket holders from the country collect a number hefty sums, including one man who claimed a €168 million windfall on 11th October 2016.

The latest draw also provided additional delight for two UK players, who each scooped £1 million after matching one of the two Millionaire Maker codes drawn, while a French player secured a €1 million prize thanks to My Million.
