Two Lotto Players Split £25.5 Million Jackpot

Last Updated: Thursday 25th May 2017, 09:30

Two lucky Lotto players split a fantastic jackpot of £25.5 million on Wednesday 24th May, despite not matching all six main numbers. The top prize had to be given away after exceeding its jackpot cap, so the full amount rolled down to be shared amongst ticket holders in the highest winning tier.

The numbers drawn last night were 3, 30, 44, 45, 55 and 59, with Bonus Ball 37. There were over 1.1 million prize winners in total, with the other rewards ranging from a Free Lotto Lucky Dip for matching two main numbers to £1,819 for matching five main numbers. Visit the Lotto Results page for more information, plus details of the winning Lotto Millionaire Raffle code worth £1 million and the 20 Raffle codes worth £20,000.

The jackpot had to be won after going past its £22 million cap last week. Under the rules of the game, the top prize could only roll over one more time, and as nobody won on Saturday it meant the top prize was guaranteed to be won on Wednesday.

The last time the jackpot had to be won was on Saturday 31st December. Just like last night, nobody matched all six main numbers, so the top prize of £26.4 million was awarded to the single participant who matched five main numbers plus the Bonus Ball.

The Lotto jackpot will reset to £3.3 million for Saturday night’s draw, and you can give yourself a chance of winning by either choosing your numbers online or visiting an authorised retailer. Good luck!
