UK Lotto Player Scoops £7.6 Million Jackpot
Last Updated: Wednesday 14th May 2014, 13:27
Wednesday’s UK Lotto draw proved to be a success for one lucky ticket holder as they matched all six main numbers to win the £7.6 million jackpot. The top prize, which was the result of there being no top tier winners in Saturday’s draw, was the third largest UK Lotto jackpot seen so far this year.
As the lucky winner was the only player to match six main numbers from Wednesday’s draw, which were 20, 29, 33, 35, 37 and 40, they won the entire top prize. Details regarding the latest UK Lotto jackpot winner have yet to be released and, as UK lottery winners can opt to remain anonymous, no information will be released about Wednesday’s winner unless they decide to go public.
In addition to the jackpot winner, one ticket holder matched five main numbers and the Bonus Ball to win the second tier prize worth £271,931. Having a single winner in the second tier is unusual and the last time it happened was on 1st February when one ticket holder won the second tier prize worth £455,791.
All other winners in Wednesday’s draw secured prizes ranging from £25 for matching just three numbers up to £2,380 for matching all five main numbers. A further 100 lucky ticket holders won £20,000 each by matching one of the 100 winning Lotto Raffle codes drawn. The full list of winning codes from Wednesday’s draw can be found on the UK Lotto Results page.
Tomorrow night sees the final UK Lotto draw of the month take place and, as a result of the jackpot being won in Wednesday’s draw, offers a brand new jackpot estimated at £4.3 million.
