UK Player Claims £25.4 Million EuroMillions Jackpot

The UK’s incredible run of EuroMillions success in 2017 continued on Friday night as one ticket holder won a jackpot of £25.4 million. There have now been seven jackpot winners from the UK this year, and the latest lucky player has already come forward to claim their prize.
EuroMillions Numbers
The winning EuroMillions numbers were 5, 12, 17, 33 and 41, with Lucky Stars 4 and 9. As well as the jackpot winner, three players from across Europe - including one from the UK - matched five main numbers plus one Lucky Star to win £223,578 each. Another 14 participants - including three more from the UK - matched five main numbers to win £11,158 each.
The other prizes won ranged from £2.50 for matching two main numbers to £1,046 for matching four main numbers plus two Lucky Stars. The winning Millionaire Maker codes were JTDG 96679 and XVDR 88328, instantly netting the players with matching tickets £1 million each. UK success
UK players have 180 days from the date of a EuroMillions draw to claim any prizes, and the winning player from Friday has already made contact with National Lottery officials. The claim will need to be validated, and the winner can then decide whether to stay anonymous or go public.
The jackpot has now been won in three of the last four draws, and there has been a UK winner for two Friday nights in a row. The UK has had more jackpot winners than any of the other eight participating countries and Andy Carter, the National Lottery’ Senior Winners’ Advisor, has expressed his delight with the winning streak.
Carter said: “Just one week after a £15 million winner we now have another UK ticket holder banking a giant EuroMillions jackpot. The £25 million winner is the seventh EuroMillions jackpot winner in the UK this year.”
