A EuroMillions UK Millionaire Raffle prize worth an amazing £12 million remains unclaimed! The prize was part of the special draw on Friday 31st May 2013 where one very lucky raffle winner won a guaranteed £1 million a month for a year.
The wining UK Millionaire Raffle ticket, number JRG437445, was sold in the Ladywood District of Birmingham but, despite publicity surrounding the win, the prize remains unclaimed 47 days after the draw. The ticket has 180 days before it expires on 27th November 2013 and, if the prize isn’t claimed within the next 133 days, the prize money will go to the National Lottery’s Good Causes fund.
At the moment there are 15 unclaimed EuroMillions and Lotto prizes in the UK which total a staggering £15,928,558!
Amazingly it’s happened before with several players discovering a winning ticket they didn’t realise they had!
Ryan Kitching, a 19 year old Tesco fish counter worker, was like many typical teenagers and ignored his mother's frequent requests to tidy his bedroom. Finally, after two weeks of nagging, the 19-year-old decided to give in and clean up his room. Amongst the general junk found in any typical teenager’s room, Ryan also found a Lotto ticket from the draw on 8th February 2012. Instead of throwing the ticket away, he decided to check his numbers and, having successfully matched five main numbers and the bonus ball, netted a tidy £52,981! After discovering the win, Ryan said of the girlfriend who'd just dumped him: 'She'll be sad she finished with me now.’ A valuable lesson to messy kids and potential heartbreakers everywhere!
Ryan was one of the lucky ones who managed to find his ticket but there are other winners who haven’t been so lucky and remain completely unaware that they have missed out on collecting a life changing win! So take a couple of minutes to check our Unclaimed Lottery Jackpots page, find any unclaimed prizes in your area and then carefully go through your old tickets. Good luck!
