Weekend Lottery Draws Boast Rollover Jackpots

UK lottery players are gearing up for an exciting weekend as both the EuroMillions and UK Lotto draws are offering multi-million pound jackpots.
Worth a huge £85 million, the EuroMillions jackpot is the larger of the two and comes after players in the previous nine draws failed to match all seven numbers drawn. Due to a succession of rollovers and high ticket sales over the last few weeks, the jackpot rolled past the £80 million mark on Tuesday resulting in the Superdraw which had been planned for tonight being postponed. The prize money that had been put aside to increase the jackpot to £80 million* will now remain in the EuroMillions Reserve Fund and be used to supplement future special EuroMillions draws.
Tomorrow night’s UK Lotto draw gives players the chance to win an estimated £6 million jackpot following Wednesday’s draw without a top tier winner. As there was no winner in the last draw, the number of Lotto Raffle prizes worth £20,000 each will increase to 100. Although no players matched all six main numbers drawn on Wednesday, 81 players were just one number away from securing the jackpot. Out of these winners, three matched five main numbers plus the Bonus Ball to win £68,527 each while 78 matched five main numbers to each win £3,237.
With rollover jackpots at stake in both draws, UK lottery retailers are preparing for a busy weekend of sales. It’s worth remembering that you can avoid lengthy queues at the terminals by purchasing EuroMillions and UK Lotto tickets online. The popularity of playing online has been steadily increasing as players discover the convenience of not having to queue, along with the benefits of having their tickets automatically checked, an email notification if they win a prize and any winnings paid directly into their account.
Visit the Lottery Tickets page to buy your tickets online and, whichever games you decide to play over the weekend, the National-Lottery.com team wish you the best of luck.
*The Superdraw jackpot is set at €100 million and is estimated at £80 million based on the exchange rate.
