EuroMillions Jackpot Rises to Record £210 Million
Last Updated: Friday 15th August 2025, 23:22
The chance to win a UK-record of more than £200 million came and went in Friday’s EuroMillions draw as nobody matched all the numbers, but it sets up an even bigger opportunity next Tuesday. The jackpot is set to climb to £210 million!
Friday’s winning numbers were 13, 30, 35, 36 and 40, with Lucky Stars 2 and 6. Among all the winners across Europe, there were 994,851 prizes paid out in the UK. Two players matched all five main numbers and one of the Lucky Stars, netting them £416,384 each, while someone else went even better as they hit the Millionaire Maker code VLPL 28287 to land £1 million.

Third Maximum Jackpot of 2025
With no jackpot winner on Friday night, the top prize now rolls over for a 17th consecutive draw. The difference this time is that it has almost reached the point where it cannot grow any higher – known as the jackpot cap.
This limit is set in euros - €250 million to be precise. Ticket sales are expected to be strong enough over the next few days for the jackpot to hit its cap, and any extra funds will instead be allocated to the second-highest prize category. This creates a bigger prize fund for matching five main numbers and one Lucky Star.
The jackpot can only stay at its maximum jackpot for four draws, then it must be won in the next draw at €250 million. Interestingly, the value in pounds may still fluctuate from draw to draw, as it is taken from the exchange rate on the day. Here’s a countdown of what could happen over the next few weeks before a Must Be Won draw is held.
- Tuesday 19th August – First draw at jackpot cap
- Friday 22nd August – Second draw at jackpot cap
- Tuesday 26th August – Third draw at jackpot cap
- Friday 29th August – Fourth draw at jackpot cap
- Tuesday 2nd September – Jackpot must be won
This is the third time this year that the jackpot cap has been activated. Previously, it has been won in Austria and Ireland – could it be the UK’s turn to celebrate a record win?
Make sure you get a ticket for your chance to win, and follow the draws every Tuesday and Friday as this jackpot run builds towards a climax.
