EuroMillions Superdraw Set for Friday 15th September 2017

Last Updated: Friday 1st September 2017, 10:27

EuroMillions fans will be able to play for a €130 million (around £110 million) Superdraw jackpot on Friday 15th September. The jackpot event will take place just 11 weeks after the last enhanced draw, in which a UK player claimed the entire €100 million (£87.5 million) top prize pool.

What is a EuroMillions Superdraw?

EuroMillions Superdraws are called at various points during the year and the jackpot is boosted by the game’s Reserve Fund. The top prize is set in advance and remains the same whether the jackpot is won or not in the previous draw. September’s event will be the 19th in the game’s history. A 20th Superdraw was cancelled in June 2014 after the jackpot rolled above €100 million organically in advance of the scheduled draw.

Does the Superdraw Jackpot Have to Be Won on the Night?

The jackpot of a Superdraw rolls over if no one matches all five main numbers and both Lucky Stars on the night. Of the 19 jackpot events, seven have been won straight away, with the rest accumulating to larger amounts before players claimed them.

The top prize from the Superdraw on Friday 3rd October 2014 rolled six times until it hit the EuroMillions jackpot cap. A Portuguese ticket holder pocketed €190 million (£149.7 million at the time) on Friday 24th October.

Is it More Difficult to Win a EuroMillions Superdraw Jackpot?

The good news is that you have exactly the same odds of winning the top prize whether you play for a £110 million Superdraw jackpot or the base prize of £15 million. You are competing with the ball matrix of the game rather than the other players, so it doesn’t matter whether a large number of other ticket holders participate, enticed by the riches on offer.

Can I Buy Superdraw Tickets Now?

Tickets for the EuroMillions Superdraw on Friday 15th September are not yet available, but the game is still offering a very handsome £32 million jackpot this Friday night. You can buy your tickets from authorised retailers or choose your numbers online now. Good luck!
