UK Player Wins Half of £123 Million EuroMillions Jackpot

Last Updated: Wednesday 31st January 2024, 10:25

One UK player matched all the EuroMillions numbers on Tuesday 30th January. They will share the £123 million jackpot with a ticket holder from Spain who also achieved a perfect match.

Tuesday’s big win comes after a Superdraw on Friday night had bumped up the jackpot to £111 million. Nobody won Friday’s special event, but that just meant that even more was on offer last night.

The numbers drawn were revealed to be 5, 10, 19, 27 and 30, with Lucky Stars 5 and 6. More than 750,000 UK players picked up prizes in the main draw, while another one landed £1 million after matching the winning Millionaire Maker raffle code of ZKLZ 09716.

Andy Carter, the National Lottery’s Senior Winners’ Advisor, said: “What an amazing night for one UK EuroMillions winner who has scooped a share of tonight’s incredible £123 million EuroMillions jackpot, the first UK EuroMillions jackpot win of 2024.

“Players are urged to check their tickets and to give us a call if they think they are one of tonight’s lucky winners. Thanks to National Lottery players, £30 million is generated every week for good causes. This money helps fund projects across the nation, with over 685,000 grants, supporting projects both big and small, having been made across the UK to date.”

There have now been 127 UK jackpot winners since EuroMillions began in 2004. The latest lucky ticket holder has 180 days to stake their claim, and when they contact the National Lottery they can also decide whether to opt for publicity or stay anonymous.

It may be that they already know about their big win and plan to come forward quickly, or perhaps they wish to let the news sink in and seek financial advice first. Alternatively, they might still be in the dark as they haven’t got round to checking their tickets yet.

One quick way to find out if you are a winner is to use the EuroMillions Checker. It will quickly calculate for you whether you have matched enough numbers to get a prize.

Remember that there are 13 different ways to win prizes. It’s not just a case that you have to match all the numbers. There’s also the Millionaire Maker raffle, so make sure to check your tickets carefully before disposing of them.

The next draw will have a £14 million jackpot. You can buy tickets from authorised retailers or take part online.
